`My Country, I Still Call Australia Home’ is the Galley of Modern Art’s largest exhibition of contemporary Indigenous Australian art.

The exhibition features North Queensland paintings, video art, installation, urban-based Indigenous art, Western Desert painting as well as site-specific Gallery installations. It also examines the interpretations and associations Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists have with their land and nation.

Indigenous artists have a critical voice in sharing stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. They also help highlight the contemporary experiences of Australia’s Indigenous groups.

Entrance to the exhibit is free. The event starts from June 1 to October 7, 2013 at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre Corner Grey & Melbourne Streets South Bank Queensland. The venue is a quick drive and walk from our Brisbane City Apartment Accommodation
