Visit the world’s first and largest koala sanctuary. Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary has over 130 koalas. Meet these cute and fascinating creatures along with other equally remarkable animals. Enjoy seeing them up close and interacting with them. This is an animal encounter you won’t forget.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary offers a lot of fun and exciting animal encounters. Experience feeding wild lorikeets, watch a sheep dog show, hold a python, feed kangaroos, watch birds of prey shows and have your picture taken as you cuddle a koala.

There are also a number of tours that will give you insights about the native animals. The Keeper Experience Program lets you go behind the scenes and experience the day-to-day fun of being an animal keeper at Lone Pine. The Platinum Tour gives you special access as an experienced team member guides you around the sanctuary. Junior and Teen Keeper for a day allow kids and teens to undergo the tasks of
a wildlife officer.

Learn about the diverse wildlife. At Lone Pine, you’ll find birds including lorikeet, kookaburra, crested hawk, southern cassowary, and many others. There are also fascinating reptiles such as snakes, lizards, crocodiles and turtles. Get up close some of the most interesting native wildlife. See raptors, platypus, koalas, dingoes, Tasmanian devil, wombats and many more.

Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is open daily from 9am to 5pm. It is located at 708 Jesmond Street Fig Tree Pocket, Queensland just a few minutes away from our Accommodation Apartments Brisbane.
