Going on a holiday with the kids? Here in Brisbane, there are many fun and at the same time educational activities perfect for the little ones.
Just make sure to book your Brisbane City apartment accommodation at Abbey on Roma because the apartment is located in the heart of the city. This means that we are close to many great Brisbane attractions one of which is the Queensland Museum and Sciencentre.
If you have decided to take your kids there, below are three interactive exhibits you should not miss on your visit at the museum’s Sciencentre at Level 1.
Expose your kids to the world of search and rescue operations. Here in Rescue, kids will play dual roles – rescuer and casualty. They will learn what emergency supplies and equipment are needed and what rescue techniques should be used on air, land, and sea rescues.
To exercise their minds and develop quick thinking, the exhibit features various interactive and engaging tools and activities in the area such as wall climbing, flying a helicopter, navigating a jet ski, testing different types of fire extinguishers, and heaps more.
The Rescue exhibit started last July 25, 2015 but was extended. So make sure to bring your kids before it ends on February 21. Who knows, they might save lives and become heroes one day.
2. Sound Show
Just like science, sound is part of everyday life. With the Sound Show, kids will be able to understand how sounds are made, how it travels to the ear, and what makes sound different from another.
Various objects such as balloons, buckets, cups, slinkies, straws, and tuning forks will help in exploring scientific concepts from amplification and loudness, to frequency and pitch as well as sound waves and vibrations. The Sound Show starts on January 25 to February 21.
3. Body Zone
The Body Zone has four themes – Body Works, Body Challenge, Sense Ability, and Mind Benders. For a hands on experience, visit each section to learn the importance of every body part and also to challenge your body strength.
Book your accommodation apartments Brisbane with us and be close to all the educational exhibits at the Sciencentre.
